Our analysis reveals that the "Red Dead Redemption GOTY -Gnarly Repacks-" is a highly modified version of the game, with several alterations to evade detection by anti-piracy measures. The repack is approximately 2.5 GB in size, significantly smaller than the original game's 7.5 GB. Our content analysis also revealed that the repack creators used various techniques, such as renaming executable files, modifying checksums, and removing online activation requirements.

First, we conducted a content analysis of online forums, social media, and websites hosting the repack, to gather information about its characteristics, such as file size, game version, and modifications made. We also analyzed user comments and feedback to understand the motivations and attitudes of those downloading and sharing the repack.
