The story follows Cataleya, a young girl in Bogota, Colombia, who witnesses the brutal murder of her parents by a drug lord’s henchman.
The movie takes place in Colombia, where Cataleya (played by Zoe Saldana) grows up in a poor neighborhood. After her family is killed by a notorious crime lord, Cataleya is taken in by a former hitman, Morales (played by Javier Bardem), who trains her in the art of combat and helps her escape to the United States.
