Clint Eastwood's methodical direction brings a documentary-style realism to the cockpit and the investigation rooms.

The movie itself is definitely a "solid feature." Here’s why it holds up:

Clint Eastwood opted for a non-linear narrative, jumping between the investigation, Sully’s past, and the intense 208 seconds of the flight itself.

Sully tells the incredible story of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (played by Tom Hanks ), who, on January 15, 2009, pulled off an impossible feat. After US Airways Flight 1549 struck a flock of geese shortly after takeoff, causing both engines to fail, Sully made the split-second decision to land the plane on the freezing Hudson River, saving all 155 people on board.
