Firmware is the low-level software programmed into the device's read-only memory. Unlike standard software apps, firmware provides the necessary instructions for the hardware to communicate with other devices, process inputs (like RFID cards or keypad codes), and execute outputs (like unlocking a door).
Most K9604-W systems do not support "Over-the-Air" (OTA) updates and must be updated manually via USB.
The Update ProcessPlug the USB into the port on the back of the NVR. Go to System Admin > System Upgrade. Select "Local Upgrade." The system will detect the file and begin the process.
