The movie revolves around Dev (Shah Rukh Khan), a Mumbai-based taxi driver who falls in love with Soorya (Anushka Sharma), a beautiful and strong-willed woman from Goa. However, their love is opposed by Soorya's brother, Vikram (played by Abhishek Bachchan), who is a don and wants Soorya to marry his son.
