Nearly two decades later, the film’s endurance is not solely reliant on physical media or mainstream streaming services. The Internet Archive (IA), a non-profit digital library, has emerged as an unlikely but vital custodian of the film’s cultural footprint. While full-length feature films are typically restricted on the IA due to copyright protections, the platform hosts a rich ecosystem of Veer-Zaara ’s peripheral and auditory artifacts. This paper argues that the Internet Archive serves as a digital museum for Veer-Zaara , preserving its musical legacy, mitigating the effects of platform decay on mainstream streaming services, and democratizing access to a film that advocates for borderless love.
