The Service Tool writes directly to the printer's EEPROM. If you interrupt the process, lose power, or use the tool on an incompatible model, you can permanently "brick" your printer (render it unusable).

Release the Resume button while still holding the Power button. Press the Resume button 5 times in quick succession.
