Set in 2029, Resistance leader John Connor (Jason Clarke) launches a final offensive against Skynet. To ensure victory, he sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke). However, Reese arrives to find a fractured timeline where Sarah has been raised by a reprogrammed T-800 "Guardian" since childhood.
