Without spoiling too much: the Midnight Council occurs after the siege of Torrenvale. Instead of a linear cutscene, you enter a dream-negotiation with the spirits of all three ducal founders. Your dialogue choices here lock you into one of six secret "Heart Oaths"—each radically altering the final act. The "Top" build is the only version currently containing all six outcomes.
