When a user connects the iP100 via USB to a fresh Windows 11 installation, the OS recognizes the hardware ID (USB\VID_04A9&PID_10D9) but fails to find a compatible driver in Windows Update. Attempting to manually install the last Canon-provided Windows 10 driver (64-bit) often results in the error: “This driver is not digitally signed” or “The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file.” Consequently, the printer appears in Devices and Printers as an “unspecified device” or fails to respond to print commands.
