The story of Lionheart is classic action simplicity. Van Damme plays Lyon Gaultier, a paratrooper in the French Foreign Legion stationed in Djibouti. When his brother is brutally attacked and left for dead by a crooked drug dealer in Los Angeles, Gaultier deserts his post to travel to the US and help his brother’s family.
The action scenes in are still impressive by today's standards. From intense hand-to-hand combat sequences to high-octane car chases, the film delivers on its promise of non-stop thrills.
