: A frequent cause of startup failure is a missing libfftw3f-3.dll . You must download this file separately (often from FFTW.org) and place it directly into your DSDPlus folder.
If you are using VB-Audio Virtual Cable, an outdated version can cause DSDPlus 271 to freeze upon selecting the input device. The error log inside FMP24.txt often reveals "Error 271: Audio device not found."
