To understand the modded client, you must first understand Eaglercraft itself. Originally, Minecraft is a native application—a heavy piece of software that requires installation, a powerful CPU, and a legitimate license. Eaglercraft changed the game by recompiling an old version of Minecraft (Beta 1.3 through Release 1.8) into JavaScript using a toolchain called TeaVM.
